FREDERICK F. RICHARDS III
Frederick F. Richards III is a partner in the law firm of Allen A Lefkovitz & Associates, P.C. in Chicago. He joined the firm in 2004 to focus on real estate tax assessment and property law matters. In that capacity, he has represented a broad range of national and local clients, including hotels, manufacturers, multi-tenant office and industrial buildings and nursing homes. During his first year with the firm, he helped clients save more than $1 million in real estate taxes.
Mr. Richards is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School and the University of Southern California, where he earned a degree in business administration. He has practiced law in the Chicago area since 1991, primarily as a specialist in litigation. Prior to joining Allen A Lefkovitz & Associates, P.C. he was a partner in the Litigation Department of Arnstein & Lehr, LLP, Chicago, handling cases in such areas as medical malpractice, commercial disputes, bankruptcy and product liability for national and multi-national clients. Mr. Richards also worked as in-house counsel for Sears, Roebuck & Co.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Richards worked as an associate attorney for Rooks, Pitts & Poust, specializing in insurance defense litigation, and for Greene and Letts in the areas of business litigation, municipal finance and insurance defense.
A resident of Lake Bluff, Illinois, Mr. Richards has volunteered consistently over the years for the Chicago Park District. His work there includes developing and directing a youth program and organizing and managing a co-ed adult volleyball league. He founded the Angel City Links Alumni Scholarship in 1984 in Los Angeles.
